Flood revisited

Thursday, June 28th, 2007

Country Club Rd in Oneonta is flooded during the June 2006 FloodOne year ago today, as the local newspaper was sure to remind us both with a headline and an entire special section in today’s issue, there was massive flooding along the Susquehanna, and some of the other rivers in central/eastern New York State. We were fortunate to avoid any damage, but we did get out to explore a bit in the days following the rain. I took a series of photos and added a few words to describe them. You can read it at my June 2006 Flood page.

New Panoramas … Leah’s graduation and more

Wednesday, June 27th, 2007

The graduate panoramaThis spring, my partner Leah finished up her Ph.D. after many years of hard work. She graduated from Syracuse University on May 13th, and in addition to all of the still photos I took, I created a few QTVRs of the occasion. Two of them are now available over at my personal website, Learning to Fly Originals.
My latest submission for the World Wide Panorama is also up for viewing.

Launching the blog

Wednesday, June 27th, 2007

All the cool photographers seem to have a blog these days, so I’ve decided it was time for me to join the fray. :)

I plan to use this space for news, to post those random photos that never get uploaded in other places, and to share any random musings that come to mind.

Come back often and see what’s new.
